Aubert plans to pace herself
It seems like only yesterday when she was the new kid on the block.
People were wondering who the talented, gutsy girl from Crystal Lake South was back then. Now, they know her by her first name.
Entering her third season with the Gators, Kristina Aubert has become the benchmark for all challengers in the FVC. They know if they can hang with the South standout, they can run with anyone in the area.
"She is fun to coach," CLS cross country coach Niki Lydon said, "and I think having a runner like her motivates her teammates to strive for their best as well. In order to be successful you have to work hard and they see that in Kristina. It rubs off on her teammates."
